I also see they posted a follow-up with reactions from people with disabilities about how life-changing these are: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2026/apr/07/the-life-changing-magic-of-wearing-smartglasses One of these societal tradeoffs we’ll have to navigate! (Inclusion vs privacy) And in a quick search, it seems most of the other big companies have smartglasses either out or in development. (Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung…) @Lstn2urmama4@zeroes.ca

    @danyork@mastodon.social Having read that article after the first one stated along the same lines what I already had known and glad they actually helped someone .. but I also believe that they should be protected usage for those in need and not what has been shown to happen use for illicit usage in perverted ways or others safety .. and proof of certain disabilities to curtail abuse .. which could still happen but would be easier to locate issues ...
