I understood why Adobe started on this road. They couldn’t add features compelling enough to sell a paid upgrade, which traditionally had been a tad above $ 500 per flagship. The old versions worked more than well enough.
Students actually liked it. They only paid for subscriptions while taking classes (they weren’t using it except for class work? Then why learn it?)
I’m glad to finally see a sea change, a seeming majority of users, tired of the abuse.
