@nblr@chaos.social @eliasp@mastodon.social Well, you have to admit that it already worked in 2020 when Threema was sold to PE Afinum. Now it's about to be sold to another PE. It didn't go down the drain then. Why should it now? Don't get me wrong though. I'm not exactly a friend of capitalism and growth targets either. I'm working for Threema since 2017. I don't believe the doomsaying is really justified. Feel free to ask me questions on how it went so far.

@nblr@chaos.social @threemaapp@mastodon.social @eliasp@mastodon.social the reason why private users choose Threema over WhatsApp and why companies choose Threema over Teams or Slack is the strong focus on privacy and security. What motivation would a new owner have to hurt that reputation? It's what makes Threema Threema. Secure communication is a growth market, and digital sovereignty a buzzword. No reason to change the trajectory of Threema.
