AI didn't delete your database, you did, by Ibrahim Diallo

> Last week, a tweet went viral showing a guy claiming that a Cursor/Claude agent deleted his company's production database. We watched from the sidelines as he tried to get a confession from the agent: "Why did you delete it when you were told never to perform this action?" Then he tried to parse the answer to either learn from his mistake or warn us about the dangers of AI agents.

@esparta@ruby.social Thank you for this toot. It seems obvious. But I don't subscribe to it. I develop software in a corporate environment, and companies are pushing people to use AI (it's even a performance indicator). What I see are some cool things where AI can support the thinking process. But I also see many, and much more often, products partially written by AI, and for which the developers don't have a complete understanding of the AI-written part.
