@lfisk@infosec.exchange I think I'm going to start my hunt two weeks before Memorial Day weekend, although I usually do it right before that weekend. I'm trying to beat the rest of the hunters. Last year I did it after memorial Day and really missed out.

@mlanger@mastodon.world You likely already know this... Ground temp and moisture is key to when they appear. Especially the ground temp. I'd kinda forgotten about a few high 70 degree days we'd had a bit more than a week ago. And this year we've had a surplus of recent rains.
