@LizzieSpeaks@lor.sh also, for clarity "taken care of" means "eaten". I have no idea how to deal with mites except for introducing ladybugs.

@jjcelery@mastodon.ie Well, this was my first year growing them on the balcony. I put beneficial mites on them to eat the thrip larvae. Then, when I brought them inside, a bunch of gnats hatched. But I didn't buy more beneficial mites. Instead, I sprinkled some anti-gnat pesticide. That must have killed the good mites. So, then the bad mites took over. I will never do that again. I will buy the beneficial mites that eat strawberry mites and two spotted mites. I didn't check under the microscope which one it was because I was exhausted at that point.
