@edendestroyer@solarpunk.moe let me think... some of my childhood favorites were Esperanza from Spirit, Littlefoot's mother from The Land Before Time, and Zira from The Lion King 2. The last one is a really terrible mother but I always thought she was cool anyway... And now my favorite fictional "mom" is Lalah Sune from Gundam. She is not exactly a mom in the conventional sense, but she has a weird "found family" dynamic with one of her comrades and she was also inspired by a Hindu mother goddess, so she deserves the mom title as far as I'm concerned.

@edendestroyer@solarpunk.moe Gonna go with Evelyn from Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. She grows into a good mother by the end of the film, and I think it is so important to have that kind of story out there.
