@rubyjones@wandering.shop for me it's more about choices rather than restrictions. I am not oppressed, but choose to work in shared spaces and don't seek my own space. I actively don't *want* my own room, where my partner always has. And I feel like the experience of creating art while sharing space must affect that art, and I don't wish to go back and change the art I have produced as it relects who I am/was. But I am not representative of women and my partner is not representative of men.

@paranoiapen@mas.to I'm glad you don't feel oppressed - that's a huge achievement in this society - but it's very much not been my experience.
