Finding out through Connections that in the US "Black and Tans" refers to a drink and not a notoriously violent British paramilitary force in the Irish War of Independence.
This has predictably resulted in a bunch of hilarious US corporate faux pas.

@Ormur@mellified.men i assume the drink was named after the paramilitary force but yeah most people in the US don't know a ton of irish history. most of the european history we get in school is focused on the continent and england
