@futurile@mastodon.social No, doesn't build the derivation while loading the time-machine. It just takes a long time to set the environmental variables and prepare the paths for the guix profile that is made by this specific time-machine. I can put the guix files (manifest, channels,...) in a temp git repo. I have tried the same setup on two different machines and there is always a very long multi-second delay (up to 15 seconds). @shepherd@fosstodon.org
