Ah, the veneer is the right way to do it, for sure.
Does it have a beeper or noise maker, perhaps to alert one to the exact moment of the new or full moon?
How does it look when it's waiting for a GPS fix, when you first power it up? What does it do when it loses GPS fix?
That's about it for me: I'm starting to get silly, with stuff about 2,551,442.9 or Jean Meeus...

@seachanged@mastodon.social my designs adhere to Calm Tech https://www.calmtech.institute/ guidelines. LunaKron does not beep or flash. When it is waiting for GPS fix, it does a little "moon dance" - cycling through the phases at a relaxed pace to show it's powered on and "thinking".

@seachanged@mastodon.social regarding 2,551,442.9: LunaKron calculates moon cycles in days: 29.530588853, which works out to 2,551,442.8768992 seconds. Close enough, right? :D
