@Megawatt@infosec.exchange 1/4 a "40m EFHW" on 40m is a nice 1/2 wavelength element so there's a single current maxima and a clean radiation pattern (takeoff angle around 20 degrees)

@Megawatt@infosec.exchange 2/4 on 20m it is a full wavelength so there are 2 current maxima. This causes pattern lobing (which is very evident in a horizontal EFHW). For a vertical we've got the ground reflection too, and it ends up being just a single lobe at a higher angle of 30 degrees (still not too bad)
