@gangrif@social.undrground.org It's important to note that PeerTube isn't trying to be a YouTube replacement, even though that's how users often frame it. The only thing they really have in common is that they let you upload video and other people can watch them. Other than that their goals, methods, and uses are very different. Think of PeerTube as "busking" and YouTube as being a food server. On PeerTube, if someone likes your videos, they can tip you. With YouTube, if you hustle you get a cut with tips. (p1)
