I’m not sure this is a compelling value proposition. Why would someone pay $50 for hardware that’s nearly a decade old when there are several cheaper, better-supported alternatives, such as MuziWorks Duo, Ebyte, and others using newer LR1121 or LR2021 chips? Is this just AI-scam?

@xyzw@mastodon.gamedev.place 1. We designed this board and bought the core components for this idea back in 2024, prior to the release of the newer chips. We were sitting on it until market demand and FOSS software quality were high enough for release 2. Our board fits into much smaller spaces and the listed boards are MUCH larger than the BYOMesh 3. When bought in quantities of 3 or more the BYOMesh is $38 only $3 more than the others. 4. No AI was used in the design. Want to support Black hackers? Buy from us.
