For all practical purposes using an LLM to "write code" is just renting a program. It's just SaaS.

@hp@mastodon.tmm.cx But then the obvious solution would be creating a coding LLM which can run locally which is good enough? Which is obviously not the solution to the problem. I feel like your post isn't addressing the issues with LLMs.
