My good friend sent me a liberal Substack post from someone they’re friends with.
I wrote back:
“I mean I like her writing, it’s a great sentiment, but Substack makes tons of money off of Nazis and transphobes and this has been in the media for years. Why are people who say they care about this stuff still using Substack? https://leavesubstack.com/

@hollie@social.coop I've written to people about their use of Substack before, and I've used the LeaveSubstack link, but I think it's time for me to do some more reaching out. I like what you wrote, and I might copy some of that. I also liked this wording from @ben@werd.social: Substack hosts, profits from, and promotes explicitly Nazi content, and if you are adding value to that network, you are helping them to do so.
