@TimWardCam@c.im @madduci@mastodon.social First of all it doesn't have to die to be replaced. Many phones get a battery replacement after 3-4 years. Secondly it's only the vendor that has to sell it until then. Third parties can sell it for years beyond. I can still buy batteries for old Nokia phones. The same will happen in 2035 with the battery of the iPhone 19.
