The main reason I want to move out of Ubuntu is the jump in RAM needed. Second reason is how they've handed some stuff around AI. I'm not the most knowledgeable to have a nuanced opinion but it doesn't seem like they're moving in a direction I want to be a part of.
After getting a little feedback I'm considering Mint Debian Edition as well.

@marz@caw.corbode.com yeah, the ubuntu ai nonsense is why I'm planning on moving from my current Mint install to LMDE whenever it ends up being convienient, just so my system doesn't depend on ubuntu's packages or their ai choices at all.
