@badpenny@alaskan.social this was my first instinct as well (ask the tattoo artist directly), but I was afraid they would prefer clear instructions (as opposed to many back and forth of "no, not like that, more like this", etc). That part might be projection from me, I admit! Thanks for the feedback!

    @f_o_tistic@autistics.life No worries. A good tattoo artist will make you comfortable and answer your questions. If they are rude or whatever, they are not the artist for you. They may want an nonrefundable art deposit up front. If you aren't vibing with the art process, better to walk away than get tattooed with something you don't love. The problem with finished work is you fall in love with something that may not work well on your skin. Trust the person holding the needles.
