@jackwellborn@mastodon.social @atpfm@mastodon.social are they really using a 12 years old display panel in the base studio display??? the same one from the imac 5k 2014?

@torsteinv@mastodon.social @jackwellborn@mastodon.social @atpfm@mastodon.social I suppose it depends how people feel about it. I have the previous version of the Studio Display. I'm sure there are better ones but I never look at this and think outdated. 🤷♂️ It helps the casing looks much nicer than some plastic display but if I did not like the screen I was looking at every day I'd switch. I totally agree they could do better but I'm guessing the sales say they don't need to and unfortunately that's what they're looking at.
