I have no idea who even cares or listens to me, but re: the Touch Bar withering on the proverbial vine, my understanding through the years has been a lot of software people inside Apple fell out of love with it. (I still maintain Touch Bar Zoom is/was a masterpiece.)

@steven_aquino@sfba.social Touch Bar let you scrub forward on ads. And it let you apply text colors in keynote without touching the mouse. Those are the two things I miss.

@steven_aquino@sfba.social I wonder how difficult the API was to program it from apps. Having just-in-time functionality was a cool idea.
