No comment needed, although I will add that he is referencing I Samuel 15, which is the same in the Christian Old Testament as the Jewish Torah, but does not exist in the Muslim Quran (meaning it could not be verified). It's a blood feud between two sects of Canaanites, Amalekites and Israelites (which is not the same as Israeli). Palestinians are Canaanites too, but not related to Amalekites. Israel uses Amalekite as a metaphor for a completely different blood feud they started themselves when invading Palestinian homelands in the modern era. There is no historical or biblical connection except to say, "These are the people we now hate, and we have killed people before." God never told them to kill Palestinians, just like God never told anybody to kill queers. Also, Amalekites are described as a "barbaric" tribe which matches the slurs Israeli use for Palestinians, even though Palestinians are not actually barbarians. Like a radical preacher quoting scriptures that don't actually talk about what he's preaching, just to stir people up and weaponize religion for hate and division. #hate #HateSpeech #racism #islamophobia #cdnpoli #abpoli
