@lpbkdotnet@mstdn.social I did wonder about the power, as I've also seen others with a red DANGER 250V warning on them when the motor is wound for mains voltage (maybe only when they are used for generating ringing voltage on a PMBX, as if the mains was off the operator could still use the magneto generator?)

    @vfrmedia@social.tchncs.de there were some larger ringers that were mains driven, and they could look identical to their DC equivalents PMBX/PABXs would sometimes have one of each, so if there was a mains failure it would cut over to the DC ringer The 2A is the "baby" ringer though, and was installed in UAXs which were unattended, sometimes in remote areas, and run primarily from battery (float charged from the grid) They're the most practical to own as you can lift them relatively easily!
