Transphobes need to seriously reconsider their life choices when they have decided to go all in to hate a minority whose existence has so little effect on their day-to-day lives. So what if the person ahead of me is younger than me, older than me, a different age category to me, the same age category as me, the same gender as me, a different gender to me, cis, trans, non-binary, intersex? It changes nothing about the time I completed that 5k in. Bigots, the lot of them.

And you know it won't stop with trans people. I remember when people tried to prevent same-sex attracted people from using changing rooms. Seriously, they tried to stop lesbians using the women's changing rooms. Homophobes still try and use intimidation against gay men (why are there so few openly gay football players?) in similar situations. And it's all absolute nonsense. Nobody's gender identity or sexuality (or race) is a risk factor for anything. An individual's behaviour may be. That's it.
