Science has been using AI for years, there is too much data for human eyes to look through. AI finds the weird stuff, alerts humans, then humans try to figure it out.

@doctorwhom@mastodon.social Well aware of that, indeed I was programming in COBOL and FORTRAN machines to do that data sifting way back in the 70's. I just like making fun of the way it's done now days since I'm retired from engineering and working as a simple farmer.
