That's just not the point of reading at all, I think. I'd rather do deep reading and jump around to my own interests, not finishing books, only read certain part of certain books. Also there are some books that are just not meant to be read from start to finish, like books of aphorisms, or more "reference" books like history books. Everybody does whatever they want obviously, but I've just grew tired of the sort of mental model that these apps are built around, I don't find it useful. 2/2
