We're here engaged in the exact opposite: according to Dunning and Kruger, experts are the ones least confident in their own expertise. I'm willing to go out on a limb and say the greater one's imposter-syndrome, the more likely others would readily call them experts in the field they worry about appearing competent in. Just my opinion, most likely wrong.
