Emily Sisson (108/SISSON) is the US record holder at 2:18:29. She might be the sixth-fastest in the field, but her PB is also one of the oldest; most of these women ran sub-2:20 in the last year or two, but Sisson’s mark goes back to Chicago 2022. She’s won a bunch of US championships but no big international wins (2nd in Chicago 2022 is her best international result).

This is Sisson's first Boston. Like Hirpa, she could be a factor if the pace is slow and the pack is big, but odds are she’ll be running for “first American”.
