This is Sisson's first Boston. Like Hirpa, she could be a factor if the pace is slow and the pack is big, but odds are she’ll be running for “first American”.

Mary Ngugi-Cooper (110/NGUGI-COOPER) is the last sub-2:20 seed. She’s been second in Boston before (2021) and a perennial face in the pack at several Majors over the last several year, but no big wins yet. She knows the Boston course and how Boston gets run, but if she has the tactical tools to win, she hasn’t used them so far.
