A fascinating thing about being on the inside of a software company that wanted to become "AI Native" is that I get to watch the bubble pop from the inside. We're staring down the barrel of a 1000x price increase for the LLM cost of servicing this critical path workflow that we've had in production for 2 years. That's a napkin math estimate but even if I screwed it up, the smallest unit of capacity that the vendor will sell us is still 100x more than what we used to pay.
