@RHW@mastodon.au So sorry. It’s unfair, draconian. Booking so far in advance is ridiculous. What happens if you get an appointment in the next few days? Pay for the cab yourself, I suppose. If you feel able to manage without staff support. This is being multiplied right across Australia. If the stated aim is to keep people in their homes, instead of going into residential aged care, the Support at Home system will fail.

@treleanor@aus.social Yes, most doc/med appointments I can manage just w cab, and the Cabcharge is part of package, so that is good as long as you can get yourself there. Cabs take foldable walker. But as soon as you reach point you need actual wheelchair you need people to help. I am not safe on roads w these wonderful scooters unfortunately.
