@hack13@cyberfurz.social that looks interesting, but why does the fediverse login require the full read oauth scope for an account?

@feuerrot@chaos.social great question, we do read only because we don’t want to have much data at all if we can help it. However, due to different platforms OAuth Specs being different we seek the full read only for simplicity. But we only collect basic profile data like: pic, banner, follower count, following count. I will see what I can to narrow scope further, just going to have to get accounts on every platform we support.
