Me as I'm going through watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukK7lEWoQVA : "Oh, maybe the QR standard actually has a multipart spec which is underutilized but would support both a URL and metadata? Ah no, it's just a URL with metadata jammed into the URL. So if the GS1 QR standard is new, I assume there's a starting sentinel so the web site has flexibility in how they can integrate the metadata into their existing URL constraints? Ah no, it's just grafted onto the top-level of the path part of the domain and the site operator will just need to work around it (or set up a different subdomain for the QR codes)." Apropos of nothing, it's 25 years later and I'm still pissed at SPF for hijacking the domain's root TXT record rather than, you know, thinking ahead 5 seconds and using an underscore subdomain.
