@stannard@social.vivaldi.net The UTIs that caused 3 episodes of sepsis were stopped by a drug called Methenamine Hippurate, first discovered in 1895! Taken twice daily with Vitamin C. It passes through the body unchanged, but it reacts with acidic urine (hence the need for Vitamin C) in the bladder to produce a weak formaldehyde solution. It was a last chance experiment suggested, along with drinking cranberry juice and taking d-Mannose tablets, as they were running out of antibiotics.

  • @stannard@social.vivaldi.net I have spoken to several doctors about it since, and it seems that it is not widely known about. She also had weekly infusions of Hyaluronic acid to repair the bladder walls, and stop the bleeding.
