Sometimes I see a photo without credits and I just have to find out who the photographer and what the backstory is.
Wildlife photographer Pete G. Arnold captured this perfect moment with burrowing owls by putting a GoPro camera near their burrow on the edge of Cheyenne, and setting it to take photos every five seconds.
The photo circulating on social media is a cropped version of the original.

@stephan@them.cheeky.wales Oh man there’s a “park” by where I used to live, that’s a preserved area for these little buggers. They put a freeway right through their habitat, but there’s still a small colony of them. Definitely never saw them this much! @sysop408@sfba.social
