@nirak@hcommons.social As he should. 🤣At the university where I work, any employee can park in the commuter lots free. They’re the furthest from the campus center, but it’s a fairly small campus. When I worked here before, ca. 2011, I was part-time and had to pay the same as a FT employee, even for those lots. It made me mad every morning. I was glad it had changed when I came back (I do pay for a non-commuter lot—but I can do that on a FT salary).

@mjibrower@social.vivaldi.net even the commuter lot - which for me would be a .5 mile walk - are $276/year. They have an entire almost empty campus they could offer up for free parking (with a bus to get to the other two campuses) but it's just not a priority. It makes me so mad. We have a bus system, but depending on where you live, it's just not possible to depend on that
