nf-core remains on slack though.
Conceptually: because (my opinion/feeling/impression) most (younger?) people don't like communicating via forums. They like the more 'human' interaction you get from real time chat. And unfortunately (also in my experience) there are no truly good alternatives UX wise to Slack etc that have open indexing

@jfy133@genomic.social @Lluis_Revilla@fosstodon.org no problem in hijacking and I stand half corrected :) (ironic because I've spent quite some time explaining the difference between nextflow, nf-core and tower/platform to colleagues🤐) Your point about younger people wanting a more live reaction is interesting and does ring true. I guess we will see how the balance between faster interactions and public Vs private will play out in the coming year.
