@jfy133@genomic.social @Lluis_Revilla@fosstodon.org no problem in hijacking and I stand half corrected :) (ironic because I've spent quite some time explaining the difference between nextflow, nf-core and tower/platform to colleagues🤐) Your point about younger people wanting a more live reaction is interesting and does ring true. I guess we will see how the balance between faster interactions and public Vs private will play out in the coming year.

@keyboardpipette@genomic.social @Lluis_Revilla@fosstodon.org haha, me too me too 🙄. Yeah I'm curious about it. Increasingly matrix/element is becoming popular for the anti-commercial/data retention. But honestly, the interface(s) of the clients are terrible. I actually pushed a community towards it and I'm half regretting it because so many non-techy people find it hard to understand/navigate, and it is less rich (limited custom emojis, GIFs, etc) - both which make it less attractive. So I think that there is a niche there
