Found this article quite interesting: https://news.ucsc.edu/2025/09/smart-device-ai-bioelectronics-speed-up-wound-healing/ It's interesting from an AI perspective because it uses a camera essentially embedded in a bandage to send rapidly collected images of a wound (continued over time) to an AI which evaluates the stage of the wound and how it is healing and which then has the device apply appropriate treatments. I was surprised to see that the treatment it applies for anti-inflammatory is fluoxetine (better known as prozac), thought it had to be a mistake but confirmed in other articles that fluoxetine apparently has anti-inflammatory properties. In addition it uses an "electric field" which apparently encourages cells to migrate in a way that facilitates wound closure. 🤔 #AI #medicine #health
