@mikehindleuk@mastodon.social I think many folks will resonate with this: "Numerous elements (including a contact form) require an additional plugin. Even the most basic portfolio sites would usually require 5 to 10 plugins." That's the dilemma of WordPress. For someone with that many of experiences on WordPress like you still get turned off by it, imagine it for the people who haven't touched WordPress at all. Probably we all hate and love WordPress at the same time.

@heybran@mastodon.online Nice one, Brandon 🙌🏻 Thanks for taking a look and the feedback. Haha yep, but saying that it's the same with any platform. There are things I don't like about Squarespace, just not as many 🤣 The perfect platform doesn't exist haha! But we can get pretty close depending on individual priorities, etc.
