@remixman@kind.social It's basically a big ol' wireless router with a 5g modem in it. "Unlimited" data for $55/month, at least with the plan I have. There are discounts. Where I am at the moment, it's kind of the best thing going. I get nearly Gigabit speeds down, much less up. Depends on where you are and how saturated things are in your area.

@BorrisInABox@fwoof.space @remixman@kind.social we were told it is actually 65 a month, but we have two indeffinit discounts for what I have been told that take ours down to 30 a month. sadly you don't get access to much at all in the router. we have had ours now for a year and half, and it isn't bad. we don't see the speeds that patrick is seeing on the down side, but for us it at least works pretty well. I think our down side is usually in the 220 to 250 meg range, and the up side is 95 meg to around 120 meg. so for 30 a month, this isn't bad at all.
