See, I think that things have gotten pretty bad right now, and I'm not sure if anything other than a major structural shift is going to work to undo what's been happening here.
My mom was born during the Civil Rights era and had a chance to see a bit of the before and a lot of the after. I guess what I'm saying is that she's seen some fucking shit. All the stuff happening now? It's been and can be worse.
There's things that can and should be done to change course.

If you're someone that's white, and you're sitting near someone else and they drop a slur, don't turn the other way. Correct that shit. At a dinner table with your family and someone says something fucking racist as hell? Push back. Cut them off if they don't change their approach. Working a job, and you see a coworker that's a person of color getting crushed? Stick your nose into it. See a movie or game come out with racist themes? Don't fucking buy it or watch it. 16/20
