:boosts_appreciated: poll time - are you an artist? (in this case, specifically a visual artist of any genre ie. digital 2d, traditional, digital 3d, animation, sculpting) - do you collect artbooks? (if not for whatever reason, would you want to) not any demand check or anything, just that i was talking earlier about artbooks and i am curious how many people also collect them feel free to elaborate or share your collections in comments ETA: this is about physical artbooks not digital ones #art #furry #poll

@ko@gotosocial.art Non-artist, I'll pay extra for a digital artbook when supporting a furry/queer project on Kickstarter or Steam. I like the art and extra context the ones I have include. (Also just one printed artbook, with extra dust, but I don't usually choose these as I don't like shipping, especially from outside the EU.)

@ko@gotosocial.art well anyway i have some tiny artbooks that were added to video games but iirc there are just some concept arts and that's it i like artbooks that tell sth about development process and showcase unused ideas, i think vanripper's artbook are like that (never actually read them just the pages one can see on steam lol)

@ko@gotosocial.art Almost all the art books mentioned in the replies are comics related, so I wanted to jump in to say I have history of art, artists from dadaists to Pol Bury to Cornell to Rauschenberg to Lichtenstein, and a few architects. I now live in a much smaller place, so I have no room for more and a lot hidden away in boxes. I've had to stop. I used to try to buy books from museum exhibits whenever I liked a show.
