@zwol@masto.hackers.town @keithpjolley@discuss.systems I can see that. Full disclosure, I mostly asked to spark a discussion - I own a KIA Nero and do not really want to sell it for an untested EV. I also am waiting on the couple of potential lithium-ion battery replacements to mature before I buy a different EV. The Telo looks nice - the height is a little bothersome but not a deal breaker for me. 40k is steep for a car.

@unsafelyhotboots@sharkey.world @zwol@masto.hackers.town my current truck is a lifted ford ranger and i hate it with every fiber of my being. a kei truck would suit my needs just fine as a farm truck but i wouldn't be able to (with reasonable effort and cost) register it. not that i'd want to drive it very far in it as i'm 6'4" and am of typical american weight so the height of a telo is a feature for me. i'm at a point in my life where i'm looking forward to being an early adopter so that's also a feature for me. $40k is $10k below average new car cost. that sucks. https://www.forbes.com/sites/antoniopequenoiv/2025/10/13/average-us-new-car-price-surpasses-50000-an-all-time-high-amid-surging-ev-sales/
