@unsafelyhotboots@sharkey.world @zwol@masto.hackers.town my current truck is a lifted ford ranger and i hate it with every fiber of my being. a kei truck would suit my needs just fine as a farm truck but i wouldn't be able to (with reasonable effort and cost) register it. not that i'd want to drive it very far in it as i'm 6'4" and am of typical american weight so the height of a telo is a feature for me. i'm at a point in my life where i'm looking forward to being an early adopter so that's also a feature for me. $40k is $10k below average new car cost. that sucks. https://www.forbes.com/sites/antoniopequenoiv/2025/10/13/average-us-new-car-price-surpasses-50000-an-all-time-high-amid-surging-ev-sales/

@keithpjolley@discuss.systems @unsafelyhotboots@sharkey.world I'm a ride height extremist. I think you should have to have a commercial driver's license to drive anything whose front grill is tall enough that, if there were a small child standing directly in front of the grill, you wouldn't be able to see them from the cab. (I don't know if CDL training covers that, but it _ought_ to.)
