Loving LLMs and hating trans people provides insecure white men the same thing that The Selfish Gene did: a source of authority that makes them always right and everyone else ridiculous. Incidentally it's the same thing God provides.

The New Atheism angle on hating religion is so transparent. "religion only exists so you can lord your authority over me and make me look silly, but actually it is me that owns the one true authority and it's you that are silly, haha!" Nah bro, people have religions for a fuckton of reasons. You just project your reason for having your ideology onto them.
