    @FloatingOnion@cyberplace.social @TimWardCam@c.im Yes: the presiding officer at the count usually runs their decisions on spoiled/borderline spoiled ballot papers by the candidates' agents to check if anyone objects, and at least for local elections, the candidates themselves are often within earshot when this discussion happens.
