Bongino on the difference between being a successful podcaster and holding government office: "I’m not paid for my opinions anymore. I work for the taxpayer. I’m paid on evidence." Unusually self-aware for anyone in the current US administration, and also a great summary of the problem with an engagement-driven media environment. I'm reframing this as people being paid for the magnitude of their opinions, not the quality.
