But what i see in my area is people adopting the word ‘activist’ as a means to advancing their own position within the institution, or worse institutions adopting it as a ‘brand strategy’. I’m curious about how people see themselves as ‘activists’ and what they think this work entails on a practical level. One museum lease I met said that ‘activism’ was _commissioning_ work from non-euro American artists (instead of just plundering it)
