@colo_lee@mstdn.social Thanks, Lee. Sorry you haven't had luck with companion planting for keeping cabbage moths away. They are tenacious, aren't they? I currently have my cabbage in pots in a butterfly cage. But I suspect they may soon outgrow (height) the space available. I'm afraid I wouldn't be very consistent at picking larvae every morning.

    @redcrew@mstdn.social yeah, picking larvae every morning is not something I would succeed with either ... Although during pandemic lockdown, we spent a lot of time working in the garden. And I ran across a line I always think of when I'm on hands and knees there with the plants. Someone who was quoted by someone else (how's that for attribution) said "the best fertilizer is the farmer's eye". So, maybe I should commit to the larvae-picking lifestyle ...
